Bob Clarke has been a commercial photographer for over 24 years. He has been working in the advertising and architectural fields of photography throughout his career. Bob has always wanted to return to his roots of landscape and artistic photography. He started the Desert Photo Project in 2003, “A study of small beauty in a big desert” (www.desertphotoproject.com) as a study of the beauty of the deserts of the Southwest.
His hope is to record much of the history around urban areas before it is spoiled
by the population growth of the West.
It is his dream that some of the natural beauty as well as ancient and modern
man’s marks on the land are left for future generations.
Through his photography Bob is hoping to be able to capture a moment in history.
The rich and diverse nature of the landscape and history of the southwest provides
a vast palette of subjects in front of his lens.
